Break-even is your annualised stack spend divided by users and by twelve. Any per-user rate below it consolidates the stack at a lower cost than you pay now. Model-provider charges and the infrastructure running the models remain separate in every case.

On-premises VDF AI is licensed by capacity, not by headcount. Named users, API keys, service accounts, agents and workflows are unlimited in every bundle. What you license is the volume of work the platform performs — measured on two meters that run in parallel. The first counts tokens.
The second meter counts platform transactions: one inbound request to VDF AI, however many rules, integrations, steps or model calls run inside it. Request-heavy work — straight-through processing, event-driven automation, high-frequency scoring — reaches this meter long before it touches the token one.
Capacity bundles are balanced at roughly a thousand tokens per platform transaction, so the meter that binds is whichever side of your workload departs from that balance. This is an estimate to bring to a sizing session, not a quote: VDF AI models your workload across both meters and recommends a bundle before any commitment is made.
Two effects, and they are independent. Unlimited users retires per-seat AI spend outright. Routing, evaluation and orchestration reduce what the infrastructure underneath costs to run.
The Capacity Bundle itself is a separate, fixed annual line — sized on the two meters above and agreed before the term starts, not invoiced after it. Annual list pricing is provided on request or through an authorized VDF AI partner. Multi-year terms carry a subscription discount and fix the price for the committed term.

Every row ties a mechanism to a percentage so finance can audit the logic rather than accept a headline. Consumption above your entitlement is handled through notice and agreed expansion; ordinary variation within the permitted surplus is not chargeable at all.
