VDF AI certificates are earned rather than attended: each is awarded only after a participant completes an instructor-led course and a VDF AI engineer reviews their capstone, a piece of real work from their own organisation. Six certificates cover agent building, retrieval, agent engineering, development, administration and self-hosted operations.

Certifies that a solution builder can author, validate, version and test private Agent Skills, give an agent only the tools its job needs and publish it with scope matched to its audience.
Certifies that an engineer can connect and assess document and database sources, build and test vector indexes, and keep every retrieved passage inside the permissions of its source.
Certifies that an engineer can design a multi-agent network for a real process, run private RAG inside each user’s permissions, govern tools and Skills, and place approvals, budgets and audit evidence where risk sits.
Certifies that a developer can authenticate against the published VDF AI APIs, run and audit agents and networks from code, give agents governed database access and serve tools to external MCP clients.
Certifies that an administrator can manage access, sharing rules and workspace defaults, apply model, service and budget policies, and answer an audit question from logged evidence.
Certifies that a platform engineer can obtain short-lived pull credentials, plan a self-hosted deployment, bring up and validate a package, and run it with backups, monitoring and a planned update cadence.

Apply for the instructor-led course that awards it, join its live half-day sessions and complete the capstone. A VDF AI engineer reviews the capstone with you, and passing that review earns the certificate.
Each certificate is awarded through its instructor-led course, and the capstone review is the assessment. It checks that you can do the work on your own use case, which a course’s labs prepare you for.
