Fireflies.ai Integration

What it does

  • Connect Fireflies.ai so VDF can help with AI-powered meeting transcription, note-taking, and meeting insights. VDF can access your Fireflies.ai recordings and provide intelligent summaries and action items.

Adding the App

  1. In VDF, go to Integrations → Fireflies.ai → Connect.
  2. Sign in with your Fireflies.ai account and grant access to VDF.
  3. You'll be redirected back to VDF. Select your meetings and recordings.
  4. Confirm the connection shows "Connected" for your selected meetings.

Usage

Prerequisites:

  • An active VDF account and Fireflies.ai account with meeting access.
  • Recommended: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to authorize Fireflies.ai apps and access your recordings.

After connecting:

  • VDF can access your Fireflies.ai meeting recordings and transcripts.
  • You can analyze meeting content and get intelligent insights.
  • Meeting summaries and action items become available.

Use in VDF (examples):

  1. Ask in chat: "Summarize the key decisions from yesterday's team meeting in Fireflies.ai."

Removing the App

There are two parts: disconnect in VDF and remove access in Fireflies.ai.

  • Disconnect in VDF (stops processing immediately):

    1. In VDF, go to Integrations → Fireflies.ai → Disconnect.
    2. This removes your active Fireflies.ai authorization from VDF and stops meeting access.

  • Remove access in Fireflies.ai (Account settings):

    1. Open your Fireflies.ai account → Settings → Connected Apps.
    2. Find "VDF" (or your app name) and select it.
    3. Click Remove access.

Potential implications of removal:

  • VDF will no longer be able to access your Fireflies.ai recordings.
  • Existing VDF artifacts (meeting summaries, insights) remain available until deleted per your workspace retention settings.
  • Any stored authorization tokens are revoked; future Fireflies.ai access is blocked.

  • Start with specific meetings if you have many Fireflies.ai recordings to improve performance.
