What Trello unlocks
Trello suits teams that plan on boards rather than in a formal issue tracker.
Once connected, VDF AI can work with:
- cards across the boards you belong to
- list position, labels, and due dates as planning signals
- archived cards, flagged as archived so they do not skew current status
How to connect Trello
- Open Integrations in VDF AI.
- Choose Trello.
- Select Connect and sign in to Trello when its authorization page opens.
- Select Allow to approve read access.
- Return to VDF AI and confirm the card shows Connected.
Trello is one of the connectors your administrator has to register first. If the card reports that the application is not configured, that platform-level Trello API key is what is missing.
Typical tasks after connecting
- ask what is sitting in a given list and for how long
- pull the cards tagged for a release into a summary
- check which cards carry a due date this week
Access you may approve
VDF AI requests read access only and never receives your Trello password. Each sync reads card names, descriptions, labels, list, and due date from your open boards, up to a set number of recent cards. Attachments and comments stay unread.
Reconnect or disconnect
Reconnect when cards look stale — board content refreshes on reconnect or on the next sync rather than instantly.
Disconnect when the boards are no longer relevant to the work your team runs through VDF AI.
Troubleshooting
Cards from one board never appear
Only boards the authorising account can open are read. Confirm that account is a member of the board.
The connection was denied by mistake
Nothing is stored when you decline. Start the flow again from the Trello card whenever you are ready.
